This Pouch starts
with water buffalo hide tanned in the finest English tanneries. After a full submersion dip in 265 degree melted beeswax,
the pieces are then measured marked and cut by hand. Marked again for precise placement of holes, the pieces are then
punched with a hand awl and saddle stitched with artificial sinew, double and sometimes triple stitched at stress points.
The belt loops are cut from thick and durable saddle leather, beeswaxed and attatched at 3 places to ensure a lifetime of
hard use. The toggles and buttons are hand cut from antler, hand finished, and attatched with latigo lace. Loose
ends are tied up with a sinew wrap, giving the piece a clean appearance for a lifetime (or two) of use. Handmade with
old fashioned American craftsmanship, with care by the hardworking families at Deepwood Handcraft.
